Good morning! Let's go to my third day as an Intern.
When I finished my 8 a.m. class I went directly to Spellman to have a coffee to get warm while I was walking trough the campus to MarCom.
Today Down gave me another task different from the other day. She told me that Suzzane had two projects for me.
The first one was about the Yearbooks containing old Iona Photos. Dawn sent me an email telling me the steps I had to follow, but she helped me explain how to do it before I did it on my own.
First of all, I had to download old Iona photos that were in “tif” format from Dropbox.
Then open them in PhotoShop and apply contrast and light to them.
Then open them in PhotoShop and apply contrast and light to them.
After that, I had to save them as Photoshop jpeg files. The problem I had was that there were some photos that I had to save with another format (PNG) because the JPEG didn't appear.

I've saved them in a folder in the Desktop. And then uploaded the jpegs/pngs to this SmugMug folder.

Finally, just as I did first day, I had to tag photos in SmugMug with the keyword “historical”, "aerial", "athletics", "cheerleaders", "parade", "campus", "rowing", "hockey", "cross country", "dancers", "singers", "Hagan hall", "Cornelia Library", "sorority", "Miss Iona" and any other landmarks that are shown in them.
The second project was pretty similar to the first one but with the current men's basketball team.
The first I had to do was to upload photos from Dropbox.
Those were divided in different folders. Each one with the name and number of each player:
02- Amayo
03- Muhammad
04- Casimir
05- English
10- Bebis
11- Ellis
13- Laury
21- Dublin
32- Hines
44- Robinson
Cluess
Huddle

I download all the photos of each folder and put it together in a new folder in the desktop: BASKETBALL PHOTOS.
So I uploaded all the photos to the Athletics folder on SmugMug (same web as the first project), in a new gallery called “Basketball 2014."Finally, just as the first day and as the old Iona Photos, I tagged all the photos with keywords “athletics”, “basketball”, "men's basketball", "go gaels", "gaels", "iona gaels", "defense", "men's team", and "men" and the name of any school that is seen in the photos playing Iona, e.g.. “Fordham", "Cleveland", "FGCU" and "Riders".
